Reasonable break time under the FLSA
A few weeks ago, I was part of a panel presentation that focused on the FLSA and its requirement that employers provide reasonable break times to nursing mothers. The presentation was held in Lincoln at Ameritas and was sponsored by Southeast Nebraska’s worksite wellness council - WorkWell.
Nebraska: Food for Thought
October 24, 2011 is Food Day. It is hoped that Food Day brings together all Americans to push for healthy and affordable food produced in a sustainable, humane way. The honorable Co-Chairs of Food Day 2011 are Iowa Senator Tom Harkin and Connecticut Representative Rosa DeLauro. Food Day is sponsored by the Center for Science and the Public Interest.
